Industrial-Grade LiFePO4 Technologies & Customized Battery Solutions Engineered for Spanish Renewable Integration & C&I Applications.
High-efficiency energy storage solutions optimized for grid codes, harsh climates, and intensive usage in Spain.
Driven by the Plan Nacional Integrado de Energía y Clima (PNIEC) and aggressive decarbonization goals, Spain's commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors are experiencing an unprecedented boom in solar self-consumption (Autoconsumo). With energy price volatility affecting production lines from Catalonia to Andalusia, behind-the-meter energy storage systems (BESS) have transitioned from an optional green asset to a core operational necessity.
In accordance with Spanish grid regulations—specifically RD 244/2019—energy storage enables C&I entities to bypass grid capacity limits, capture excess PV output during peak generation hours, and release it during high-tariff periods (P1/P2 pricing windows). The deployment of reliable household and industrial LiFePO4 batteries guarantees thermal stability, which is vital under Spain's intense summer climate where temperatures regularly exceed 40°C in regions like Murcia and Seville.
By integrating advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) systems, Spanish enterprises are achieving faster ROI times, supported by national grants under the NextGenerationEU recovery plan administered by IDAE (Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de la Energía).
Our LiFePO4 cells and custom packs solve specialized power challenges across mainland Spain and the Balearic/Canary Islands.
Maximizing home solar installations with 12V, 24V, and 48V modular storage. Our systems integrate seamlessly with European hybrid inverters, providing reliable backup power during grid failures and reducing reliance on the Iberian utility grid.
Off-grid solar irrigation (bombeo solar) is critical in dry regions like Andalusia. Our deep-cycle, high-temperature resilient LiFePO4 batteries deliver the steady current required for pump starters under high solar irradiance without safety degradation.
Powering warehouse automation in key logistics hubs around Madrid and Barcelona. Our fast-charging, high-cycle 48V 50Ah AGV LiFePO4 packs support heavy load transportation and lower overall operational expenses.

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) has emerged as the benchmark chemistry for stationary energy storage systems due to its robust safety profile. Unlike Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) chemistries, which are susceptible to thermal runaway at approximately 210°C, LiFePO4 remains structurally stable up to 270°C. This makes it highly suited for installation in warmer climates like southern Spain, where ambient temperatures inside containerized storage systems can reach high levels during summer.
The P-O covalent bond in LiFePO4 is stronger than the metal-oxygen bonds in other lithium-ion chemistries. As a result, the cells do not release oxygen when subjected to electrical abuse, mechanical damage, or extreme temperatures, reducing the risk of fire or combustion.
Connecting energy storage systems to the Spanish electricity grid requires compliance with specific standards, including the UNE 217001 protocol for anti-injection systems. Our battery packs feature integrated Battery Management Systems (BMS) that support real-time monitoring and control, communicating via standard protocols like CAN-bus, RS485, and Modbus.
The BMS manages active balancing, over-voltage protection, and thermal monitoring, ensuring the system operates safely and efficiently. This level of control allows seamless integration with leading hybrid inverters used in Spain, facilitating compliance with local grid codes.
Operating from our Hangzhou facility, LIAO Technology leverages China's established lithium battery supply chain to secure high-quality raw materials, from cathode powders to smart control chips.
