Under normal operating parameters (1C charge/discharge rate, 25°C, 100% Depth of Discharge), a grade-A LiFePO4 cell is rated for more than 2,800 full cycles. At 80% DOD or lower discharge rates, the system's operational lifetime can extend past 5,000 cycles, retaining over 80% of nominal capacity.
Can the 48V 20Ah pack drop-in replace standard 12V lead-acid batteries in series?
While series-connecting four 12V batteries is common, our integrated 48V 20Ah single-pack solution offers significantly better reliability. Series connections often experience cell imbalances, requiring multi-bank charging. A unified 48V pack utilizes a single BMS to monitor and balance the entire chain, improving system safety, reducing weight, and eliminating inter-connection resistance.
How does temperature affect performance, and how do LIAO batteries operate down to -40°C?
Traditional lithium-ion cells lose significant charge transfer kinetics below freezing. LIAO uses proprietary electrolyte additives and high-purity active materials to maintain ion mobility inside the cell. While capacity is reduced at extreme sub-zero levels, our cells can still safely discharge and operate from -40°C up to 85°C.
